Your Power Level

Wel lcome DBZ fans. This section is dedicated to those who believe that we all have some sort of power. Some people call it "Chi" The DBZ characters shoot Chi blasts from their palms, but the in English "Chi" is called your Power Level. Now you might be saying, this is all fake. Well Believe it or not, it is entertaining, and that's what counts. The following is for ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY. This can very well increase you power level or it might not.

Where to begin? First of all we would have to find out what your power level is. This is very easy to do. You will need any standard/basic calculator to begin with.

Step 1: Add your height in cm to your weight in kg.

Step 2: Add to that how much kg you can lift. (The amount of Kilograms you can lift, and it should be for at least 10 seconds)

Step 3: Divide the number you have now by 50.

This number is your Power Level. (**Please Note**) The average Power Level of a human is between 5 and 8/9.

Now, here is where your training Begins. In this section, We will be explaining how one can control their personal ki, and how to be a fighter like in the DBZ series. You will not be as powerful as the fighters in the DBZ series, but you will have more power as opposed to someone who doesn't Train.

The katakana for "chi".

Ki is pronounced 'chi' and translates to 'life-force', 'life-power', or "life energy". It is your living energy and everyone has some amount. It doesn't matter about your race, height and weight because if you're alive, then you have "Chi." The Z Fighters have a higher amount of ki than normal humans and that is why they can shoot ki blasts from their hands. It is referred to in the dub as your 'power level' which isn't a bad translation. Since DBZ is a cartoon, you can see the blasts. In real life energy is not seen. Its FELT because it is a FORCE. Working out and building your muscles can give you a higher level of ki. Meditation and yoga can also heighten your energy level to great levels. We strongly recommend that you start with Meditation and Yoga. We suggest you start of with Meditation and since their are countless ways to meditate we will show you the one where Buddha attained enlightment. Sit in a very comfortable spot, and keep your legs crossed. You shouldn't have any Caffeine before meditation because it confuses the mind, not letting it relax. Now Close your eyes and FOCUS on inhaling through your nose. Now focus on the exhale. Try not to think about anything, and just focus. If you think about things, let them pass. Don't focus on them, but just acknowledge that they come and go. Do this for as long as you want. With enough practice, you will feel inner peace and your mind works more efficiently, thus giving you greater fighting skills.

To feel your current ki, hold out one hand. Extend two fingers and look at them. Concentrate on moving all of your power to that spot. Blank your mind down to nothingness except that one spot. You should be able to feel a tingling or an unnatural-feeling warmth on that spot. If you look, you should see a small distortion of vision right around that area. Do this often and exercise moving your ki around, you should eventually be able to shoot your ki from any point on your body. Another way is to extend one arm and focus on it. Push the energy, but do not use your muscles. Use your mind. Now make a fist and make sure your energy is in your fist. Now punch something. You might feel pain, but that punch is stronger than any of your normal punches.. Now do the same thing with the other arm, but do not power up. Just make a normal fist and punch. You should realize that you have done more damage with the powered fist, than the one that wasn't powered.

If you eject all of your power from your body, you will become incredibly weak until you eat again. During the time that you are weak, you may faint, become nauseated, get dizzy, vomit, or get sick. Please use your power responsibly. I hope that this section helps you to be able to control your ki. Do not over stress it. Take it one step at a time. Also make sure you have your mind clean because without a clean mind you will not think right, and that can make you lose a fight.

Besides mastering your ki, you will also need to build your muscles. Push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups, some weights depending age, and dips are recommended. Another excellent method is shadow boxing. take some small weights and time them around your hands. Also, you will need the proper attire. Weighted clothing is easy to make and wear. These clothes will not only build your strength, but also build your speed. Take some old shirts, a needle, and some thread. Tear up the worst shirt. Sew the others together at the neckline and at the sleeves. Turn this new shirt inside out and take some of the rags and sew them in the armpits. Take the rest and sew them around the collar, making a Piccolo-looking collar. You will also need wristbands and pants. Wristbands can be purchased from any personal fitness store close by for about only $1.79 a pair. The pants must be loose-fitting, relatively thin and breezy. They should not be denim or sweatpants. If you have ever taken a karate class then you should use the pants that come with the gi. You also need a belt. The belt can either be a karate belt (VERY good material) or you can use a strip of colored material. If you want to get really strong, take the straps off of an old backpack and tie them to a piece of material that can cover your back (like the backpack was). Lay it flat. Take some flat stones or some weights (large, but not lumpy, FLAT) and lay them on it. Lay another piece of material on top. Sew all around the edges and sew between each rock or weight to keep them in place. Double-check all stitches and put it on a scale. (It needs to be at least ten pounds.) Whenever you go out, put it under your clothes to build your strength and speed. With the weighted attire try playing some sports. Basket ball, Street Hockey, Tennis, etc. are very good to play. It will be difficult in the beginning but as you play with them for 2 weeks you will get used to them. Then take them off and play, and notice your speed difference. You will have more speed, strength, and hang time. Keep using them.
